Best Business Women Awards
The following business award categories are open to any female business owner or partner and you are eligible to enter up to 3 categories.
Our awards are focused on recognising the business women who have started their business and celebrating success. Entries will open on 2nd March 2018 are online. They require a detailed application to be completed which will then be judged by a panel of business experts. Entries close on 31st July 2018.
Successful finalists will notified on 10th September 2018 and invited to attend our gala final on 11th October 2018 at Tewin Bury Farm. Please do not enter if you cannot make that date.
Winners will be announced on the night and we will celebrate success with all finalists, winners and sponsors.

1. Best Business Woman in Business Services
This award will be presented to the best female owned business in the professional services field whose business serves other companies and can demonstrate the outstanding contribution they have made to their clients. The judges will be looking for great evidence of how you support your clients, information on how you built your business and how you retain your clients and gain new ones. Showcase your skills and expertise and customer care.
This category is open to any business in the professional services field. Examples of industry types for this catergory are: Training services,HR, VA & Admin Support, Graphic Design, Printing, Insurance, book keeping, accountant.

2. Best Business Woman in Health & Wellness
This award will be presented to the best female owned business in the health or wellness therapy industry. Showcase in your entry the outstanding impact you have made with your clients and why your business deserved to be recognised.Ensure you add testamonials, business information and how you gain new clients and look after exsisting ones.
This category is open to any health and wellness business e.g. Personal Trainers, Acupuncturists, Massage therapist, Reflexologist, Nutritionists, Osteopaths, mental health support, Physiotherapists, Yoga practitioners.

3. Best Business Woman working with Children or Families
This award will be presented to the best business woman who runs a business that supports children or families. You must prove the impact you make in your field and how your business provides support that makes a clear difference.
This category is open to any business that works directly with children, families or parents e.g. Theatre and Music Schools, Sporting Clubs, Publications, Tuition, Training, Development, Pregnancy Services, Children’s Welfare, Nurseries.

4. Best Business Woman in Financial Services
This award will be presented to a business woman who works with clients dealing with personal or commercial finance. Demonstrate in your entry how you maintain your customers, how your business makes a difference to them and what you have done to grow and develop your business and reputation. Showcase your acheivements and show the judges what makes you stand out in your industry.
5. Best Business Woman in Retail or a Consumer Business
If you are selling products or services to consumers this is the category for you. This could be in a face to face setting or online. Evidence clearly how you give your customers outstanding customer service with an added touch. Explain in your entry how you make your retail business successful and stand out. Tell us all about your business and prove you are profitable and have a great reputation among your competitors.
This category is aimed at companies who sell products or services to consumers (Not Business to Business) or have a retail outlet.

6. Best Business Woman in Marketing & PR Services
This award will be presented to the business woman who has helped to drive the success of her clients. In your entry show evidence of successful campaigns, how you support your clients and what makes you different from your competitors. Share with the judges why marketing is your passion and how you built your business. Illustrate your innovation.
This category is open to female owned marketing and PR businesses.
7. Best Networker
This award will be given to the person who can show an outstanding contribution and support to other business owners through networking events. It is open to females who run a networking group or those who attend networking events and can clearly demonstrate significant support for their fellow networkers.
8. Best New Business
This award will be presented to the best new business.
This category is open to any business which has been trading for less than 2 years (business start date 1st January 2016 or later) and can demonstrate the impact they have made in their market sector, how the business differentiates from the competition and their growth potential.

9. Best Customer Service
This award will be presented to the business who can best demonstrate consistently outstanding levels of service to their customers.
The winner will need to prove to the judges an ability to deliver true added value and give clear examples of going the extra mile for their customers.

10. Best Franchisor
This award will be presented to a woman who has successfully franchised their business. The judges will want to know about how you developed the franchise, how many franchisees you have, how you support them and your plans for your brand. Share the story of why you franchised, your ethos and your aims.

11. Best Young Entrepreneur
We are looking for a young entrepreneur who is a trail blazer, leading the way as an example for her generation. You must be under 30 on 31st July 2018 to enter. We will present this award to someone who has demonstrated clear business vision, achieved goals in line with their business plans and has already achieved business success. This award will be presented to a truly inspirational young business woman

12. Best Coach
This award will be presented to a coach who can demonstrate consistently excellent results with their clients. Open to any type of coaching including life or business coaching. Clearly evidence your impact and share case studies to illustrate to the judges why your business is special. How are you different from other coaches? What is your story? Why is coaching your passion? Remember to include details of relevant qualifications and supporting evidence.

13. Best Business Woman in Recruitment
This award will go to a woman running a successful recruitment business. The judges will be looking for details of how you have grown your business, customer service procedures and testimonials about your business from clients and candidates. How do you differ from your competitors? Share your passion for your industry and include testimonials and relevant case studies.
14. Best Business Woman in Legal Services
This award will go to a women who excels in the legal services field and gives exceptional service to her clients. The judges will be looking for evidence of the highest level of knowledge and skills. Share customer testimonials, your business journey and why your company stands out. This is open to any female owned legal services company.
15. Best Business Woman in Hair & Beauty
This award will be presented to a women who has evidenced clear business growth, can demonstrate excellent customer care and has achieved business goals in line with business plans. Share your business story, client testimonials and how you are different from your competitors.
16. Best Community Champion
This award will be presented to a woman who has made an outstanding contribution to projects/charities within her community within the past 2 years or who manages a charity, CIC or Social Enterprise.
The winner will provide clear evidence of the work they have carried out and the difference it has made to a given project, charity or community. Open to any business type, project or charity.

17. Most Inspiring Business Woman
This award is open for entry to any woman who feels their story will inspire others. The winner will clearly reveal how they have overcome obstacles on their journey to success. To win this award we are looking for an amazing inspiring story of a business woman.
18. Best Business Award
This award will be presented to the business which can showcase outstanding achievement and success, from profitability to customer service, strong growth to innovation. Open to businesses which fall into any category. This category is sponsored by our 2017 Headline Sponsor Clydesdale Bank.
